The Voyage Song

Put a sail on that ship.
Make it high, build it strong.
It must hold the wind.
For my journey is long.
The ship must be sturdy.
Its joints must be strong.
For the sea is my enemy.
And the wind is my song.

I’m bound for a new land
my eyes cannot see.
But my dreams, they shall lead me
across stormy seas.
The ship is my passage
and the wind is my song.
My mind seeks the place
where my heart does belong.
